Salary : $51.40 / PR
These positions are open to the public and all current city employees covered under the City's LABORERS INTNL UNION OF N.A. LOC 1092 BARGAINING UNIT #53 (BU 53). Only employees in City job titles in this bargaining unit are eligible to bid.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CLASS
Under immediate supervision, performs physically demanding labor and assists skilled trades workers at construction, maintenance, and repair project sites of public facilities or in the public way including streets and roadways, water distribution structures, sewer / drainage structures, bridges, and viaducts, and performs related duties as required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Additional duties may be required for this position.

Days : Monday - Friday

SELECTION REQUIREMENTS
This position does not require a test or interview. Applicants who successfully apply for the position, meet the minimum qualifications, and possess the qualifications best suited to fulfill the responsibilities of the position will be hired in a lottery / random order . Qualified bidders will be hired in seniority order according to the collective bargaining agreement.

The Department of Human Resource staff will review applications after the final posting date. Staff will follow any and all required Employment / Hiring Plan provisions, federal, state and local laws, and Collective Bargaining Agreements when applicable.
