Job Title : Cath Lab Tech Profession : Radiology / Cardiology Specialty : Cath Lab Tech Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 10 Experience : Minimum 2 years preferred License : State license required for ARRT-R (not required for RCIS) Certifications : ACLS, BLS, ARRT-R or RCIS Must-Have : Coiling and Embolic experience required Description : The Cath Lab Tech will work within a specialized environment focused on cardiovascular procedures. Responsibilities include assisting with various interventional procedures and maintaining sterile fields. Experience with accessing and managing ports, angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, and catheterization is essential. Candidates should possess skills in central venous access, fluoroscopy, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias. Familiarity with pacemaker insertion, thrombolysis, and vascular closure systems is important. The role requires effective communication and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams. Candidates should be prepared to handle emergency situations and participate in on-call rotations. A commitment to patient safety and high-quality care is expected. This position involves a daily census of approximately 12 patients. Flexibility in scheduling and the ability to adapt to changing demands is required. A strong background in both diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures is highly valued.
