Responsibilities

As a Mid-Level Associate in our Investment Management department, you will have the opportunity to apply your legal skills and financial acumen in a variety of ways. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to :

Providing legal advice and guidance on a range of investment management matters, including the structuring and distribution of registered funds and mutual funds.

Navigating complex regulatory frameworks, including the 1940 Act, and ensuring our investment products and practices are fully compliant.

Collaborating with our business development team to identify new opportunities and strategies for growth in the investment management space.

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a variety of legal documents and contracts related to investment management.

Advising on risk management and corporate governance matters related to investment management.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, providing them with expert advice and exceptional service.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in both law and finance, with a particular focus on investment management. The following qualifications are required :

Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.

A minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal role within the investment management industry, with a focus on registered funds and mutual funds.

Extensive knowledge of the 1940 Act and other relevant regulatory frameworks.

Proven experience in business development within the investment management space.

Exceptional legal drafting and negotiation skills.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle complex legal and financial issues.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
