About the Opportunity :
Our client, a leader in Healthcare / Medical Device Technology, is looking for a strategic
Data Architect
to lead a high-impact initiative to transform patient care & HCP experiences for a 3-month engagement. This project involves defining the end-state architecture, moving the client away from legacy constraints and toward a modern, FHIR-aligned model across AWS, Azure, and Salesforce. This is a high-impact role that requires a self-motivated professional who can hit the ground running and deliver results quickly.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables :
Define End-State FHIR Architecture to Enable Care Teams :
Develop the recommended end-state architecture, defining precisely how FHIR resources (e.g., Practitioner Role, CareTeam, EpisodeOfCare, Organization / Location, etc.) will be represented, governed, and exchanged across the Client’s platforms.
Drive Legacy Migration Strategy :
Deliver a deep-dive inventory and dependency map of systems, data domains, and integrations. Identify required data elements for Care Teams and evaluate data gaps relative to current on-prem sources and legacy schemas.
Establish Implementation Strategy :
Recommend a phased sequence of major technical activities required to enable Care Teams across internal systems, establishing architectural guardrails for implementation.
Document and Align Strategy :
Consolidate all findings, diagrams, and recommended approaches into a concise, actionable technical strategy document. Drive alignment and secure signoffs with Client stakeholders in a matrixed organization.
Serve as a Trusted Technical Leader :
Partner closely with the Client's engineering and business stakeholders to produce deliverables to support planning and execution.
Required Skills & Experience :
8–12+ years of experience in data architecture, enterprise integration, or healthcare interoperability.
Deep expertise in HL7 FHIR R4 / R5, resource modeling, profiling, and implementation guides. This isn't a learning role—you need to be a subject matter expert.
Demonstrated ability to assess legacy systems and design modernization / migration strategies.
Strong understanding of core healthcare domains : provider / facility modeling, episodes of care, care coordination, and identity management.
Strong communication skills to synthesize complex technical landscapes into clear architectural recommendations and stakeholder-ready deliverables.
