Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a pediatric Observation Unit role requiring a SC or compact RN license, night shifts, and advanced life support certifications.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

Position is in a pediatric Observation Unit within an ambulatory / inpatient setting

Shift schedule consists of three 12-hour night shifts each week, 17 : 00 to 05 : 30, Monday through Thursday

No weekend or on-call requirements

Floating required to sister facilities as needed, including downtown, Main, and West Campus locations

Uses Epic EMR for documentation

Responsibilities focus on managing pediatric patients in a short-stay observation environment

Royal or navy blue scrubs required

Unit orientation provided at the work site

Completion of facility modules required prior to start

Previous permanent or PRN staff must have a one-year break in service before returning as a traveler

All requested time off must be submitted up front and is subject to approval based on facility needs

Local candidates considered on a case-by-case basis at a reduced rate

Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June–November)

\n \n Requirements\n

Active SC or compact RN license required and must be in hand prior to start

Minimum required years of RN experience in a relevant setting

Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, and PALS (AHA only)

Experience with Epic EMR preferred

No first-time travelers will be considered

Candidates with a pending state license will not be accepted

Must live at least 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Driver's license and SSN required for consideration
