This is a 1099/contracted, part‑time position. Pay is $300–$400 per study. Bilingual (English and Spanish fluent) candidates are encouraged to apply.

Job Purpose

We are seeking an individual to subcontract with our agency to complete Kinship Home Assessments for children in the custody of the Department of Family and Protective Services. The candidate should possess a BA or BS (or higher) in a Social Science discipline (Social Work, Sociology, or Psychology) but will consider others who have a college degree and strong writing skills.

Job Duties (ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES)

• After completing orientation training, become thoroughly familiar with contract requirements, DFPS and Contractor forms, templates, procedures, and guidelines.
• Prepare for assessments by reviewing DFPS referral packets and discussing focus areas with the Child Placing Manager (CPM).
• Complete Kinship Home Assessments.
• Schedule and conduct interviews with all family members.
• Write comprehensive assessments in the approved format and writing style.
• Submit assessment drafts to CPM for review by the due date; correct, edit, and resubmit within 24 hours of receiving CPM feedback.
• Maintain ongoing communication with CPM regarding progress on interviews, concerns, and status of assessments.
• Submit accurate invoices for completed assessments on a timely basis.
• Provider paid per assessment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: No prior assessment writing experience is required; preferred. Bilingual (English and Spanish fluent) preferred.
• Attendance: Must maintain regular attendance as determined in the employer’s discretion.
• Licenses: Driver’s license with a clear record.
• Vehicle: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.
• Travel: Available and willing to travel to various locations as business needs dictate.
