Operations Manager

ON SITE ONLY IN PHOENIX/SCOTTSDALE, AZ.

We are seeking a high-energy, results-oriented Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day business functions of our Scottsdale-based team. This role is NOT a warehouse manager role.

The organization is transitioning from an owner-led, operational, sales and marketing model to a professionally managed growth structure. This role will be very important for the next stages of growth.

Company Background: Kona Ice is a national mobile gourmet shaved ice franchise serving schools, youth sports, nonprofits, HOAs, and community events. The business currently operates five territories in North Phoenix & Scottsdale supported by five Kona Ice Vehicles (KEVs) and one trailer, with plans to expand over the next twenty-four months.

This role is not a typical warehouse manager type of role. It's very hands on with driver preparation, training/guidance while being on site nurturing and strengthening client and customer relations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Daily Operations & Execution: Plan and manage daily and weekly schedules for KEVs and trailer. Ensure events are properly staffed, vehicles are prepared and deployed on time, and service standards are met at every event.
• Fleet, Warehouse & Inventory: Oversee vehicle readiness, cleanliness, maintenance coordination, and fuel management. Manage warehouse operations, inventory levels, product prep, and supply distribution to trucks.
• Strengthening client/customer relations: You will act as the primary bridge between our clients and team members to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Required Qualifications:

• Three to seven years of experience in food service, hospitality, or multi-unit retail environments.
• Experience managing hourly and seasonal teams is required.
• Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Experience working with schools or youth-based nonprofits is a strong plus.
• Highly organized and detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Possess leadership skills, Positive attitude, high energy, and dependable work ethic.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to step in wherever help is needed.
• Ability to provide clear direction, coaching, and on-the-spot support when needed.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25-50lbs
• Professional, reliable, and accountable.

Base salary offers for this position may vary based on factors such as location, skills, and relevant experience. Some positions may include additional compensation in the form of bonus, equity, or commissions.
