Equipment Operator I

Job Summary:

Under direct supervision, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of construction equipment that requires acceptable performance of simple, routine and repetitive procedures for operation. Perform manual labor as necessary. Maintain City streets, repair or replace street signs and perform other duties as assigned. Reports to the Street Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires a high school diploma or GED supplemented by up to two years of previous experience in street maintenance and/or heavy equipment operations, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

Special Requirements-
Must possess a valid class "B" CDL state driver's license.
