2nd Shift Machine Operator

Description Midsouth Steel seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in the construction industry.

The ideal candidate will operate and maintain various machinery, which is crucial for structural steel fabrication and processing.

As an operator of our  machinery, you will contribute to the successful completion of various projects by ensuring the efficiency and precision of all cutting and drilling operations.

Shift is M-Th 3 :

• 15pm to 1 : 30am with mandatory overtime if assigned on Friday and Saturday.
• Responsibilities Operate machinery for steel fabrication (plasma table or table saw) and processing tasks.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to understand project specifications.
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor and adjust machine settings to ensure precise cutting and drilling as required.
• Collaborate with project managers and team members to meet production deadlines and standards.
• Troubleshoot and rectify operational issues with machinery in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and industry regulations.
• Requirements Proven experience operating machinery.
• Strong understanding of metal fabrication processes and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of safety standards and best practices in construction.
• Proficient in basic computer skills and familiarity with machine control software.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
