VP Compliance Governance & Programs (Jersey City)

A well-established global corporate bank with offices in Jersey City, is looking to bring on a VP Compliance Governance & Programs to join their team. This role offers a hybrid schedule with one to two days in the office each week.

Key Responsibilities :

• Contribute to the design of the annual compliance plan and help set strategic priorities in partnership with senior leadership.
• Monitor progress against the annual plan and prepare management updates, including year-end reporting.
• Review and refresh committee and working group charters annually, supporting the establishment of new forums where appropriate.
• Draft, revise, and maintain procedures that capture core governance processes.
• Maintain compliance department organizational charts and track open positions.
• Compile headcount and hiring data to aid informed staffing decisions.
• Provide monthly reporting to Finance and headquarters on headcount projections.
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline or automate headcount tracking.
• Support the yearly staffing needs review by coordinating data collection, performing analysis, engaging stakeholders, and preparing materials for management presentations.
• Assist with the annual budget process, aligning expense planning with risk priorities, new initiatives, and strategic objectives.
• Handle ad hoc projects and assignments as needed.
