REAL ESTATE PARALEGAL (Commercial)

The Real Estate Paralegal supports the company's in-house legal and real estate teams with a wide range of commercial leasing, property management, and transactional matters. This role is essential to maintaining accurate lease records, supporting new site development, and ensuring smooth execution of real estate documents across a high-volume restaurant portfolio. The ideal candidate has strong commercial leasing experience, excellent organizational skills, and familiarity with lease databases such as AMTDirect.

Key Responsibilities

Draft, review, and revise commercial leases, amendments, renewals, estoppels, SNDAs, and related real estate documents.

Assist with due diligence for new restaurant locations, relocations, remodels, acquisitions, and other real estate transactions.

Review title commitments, surveys, exceptions, and related documents; prepare summaries for attorney review.

Track critical dates, deadlines, and obligations across the restaurant portfolio, ensuring timely follow-up and compliance.

Maintain accurate electronic real estate files and document repositories.

Enter, update, and audit lease data in AMTDirect or similar lease administration systems.

Coordinate document execution, routing, signatures, notarization, and recordation.

Conduct property research using public records, zoning portals, lien searches, and tax databases.

Serve as a liaison between landlords, brokers, property managers, vendors, operations, construction, and finance teams.

Support the legal department with corporate filings, entity maintenance, and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

3+ years of real estate paralegal experience, preferably supporting a corporate real estate or multi-site retail or restaurant environment.

Strong knowledge of commercial leases, site development timelines, and property management workflows.

Experience with title and survey review.

Experience with AMTDirect or other lease administration databases preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple high-volume projects in a fast-paced environment.

Paralegal certificate preferred but not required depending on experience.
