Hybrid 3 days in office from our NYC office

The Role :

The Associate Footwear Designer will support the design team in developing seasonal concepts, themes, and collections that embody the Reformation aesthetic. In this role, you will report directly to the Footwear Designer and contribute to creating compelling, brand-relevant product through research, sketching, and development support, helping to bring innovative and sustainable footwear designs to life.

You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners to ensure design intent is executed across all stages of development, from concept and material selection through sampling and fit. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to grow in a fast-paced, creative environment. You are visually driven, passionate about design, and skilled at balancing creativity with technical execution.

What you'll do :

• Support the design team in developing seasonal concepts, themes, and collections
• Assist with hand sketching
• Understand the Reformation aesthetic and translate it into brand relevant product
• Assist in research of seasonal trends, themes, colors, raw materials
• Research competitors and luxury market brands to inform design direction
• Present design concepts and sketches to internal team
• Help with seasonal color CADs as guided by the design team for presentations, tech packs and as needed by cross functional partners.
• Assist in material and color selection during detailing and sampling
• Maintain and organize the sample room, design archive and material library
• Participate in fitting sessions by providing hands on support
• Update and manage design decks with the most up to date information
• Provide administrative support for design meetings (e.g., : unpacking proto shipments, photographing protos)

Compensation :

At Reformation, we believe in transparency and equity when it comes to compensation. For this role, the anticipated base salary range is $60,000 - $85,000 , depending on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, skills, qualifications, and internal compensation equity.

This role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a range of factors, including company performance, department goals, and individual contributions. Bonus amounts and eligibility are not guaranteed and are determined at the company's discretion.
