Travel Nurse RN - Mother Baby - $2,194 per week in Loveland, CO

Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Mother-Baby / Couplet Care / Post Partum Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night Hours per Shift : 12 Experience : Minimum of 2 years in a Level III NICU or similar Level II Special Care Nursery License : Active Registered Nurse License Certifications : BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, NRP Must-Have : Experience with antepartum, laboring, and delivered patients, as well as neonates. Description : The unit cares for antepartum, laboring, and delivered patients 34 weeks gestation or greater. Well and sick newborns 34 weeks gestation and greater are also cared for. The facility has labor rooms, LDRP rooms, obstetrical emergency rooms, postpartum rooms, and special care nursery spaces. Staffing is based on patient type as recommended by staffing guidelines. The shift is primarily nights, with floating required to regional units within the service line. Weekend work is required every other weekend. On-call duty is one shift every six weeks. The patient ratio is 1 : 4. Special requirements include knowledge of mother and family care practices. Candidates must be willing to cross-train for postpartum care. Travelers will need appropriate certifications and must demonstrate requisite experience. Experience in charting systems is preferred. Preferred skills include breastfeeding support, discharge teaching, and knowledge of postpartum hemorrhage. The facility promotes safe practice protocols and provides interdisciplinary support, including IV teams and respiratory services. Candidates should be knowledgeable about newborn assessments, thermoregulation, and maternal care.
