Entry-Level SOC Analyst

A company is looking for a SOC Analyst I to serve as the first line of defense against cyber adversaries through real-time monitoring and analysis of security events.

Key Responsibilities

Continuously monitor the SIEM dashboard to detect potential security incidents and anomalies

Analyze incoming alerts to prioritize response efforts and conduct investigations to understand the scope of alerts

Create and manage tickets in the case management system, documenting all investigative steps and findings

Required Qualifications

U.S. citizenship with eligibility for a Secret clearance

0-2 years of experience in a Security Operations Center or related IT fields

CompTIA Security+ certification required within the first 2 months of hire

Familiarity with log analysis and various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)

Basic understanding of networking concepts and common attack tactics
