Purpose :
Performs mobile pre-delivery inspections and on-site equipment diagnostics, service repair, and maintenance work in line with the turf service programs. May require some direction or guidance from the Service Manager, Service Location Manager, or Shop Foreman.
Responsibilities :
Performs a high level of on-site service on all makes of Turf equipmentActively promotes and sells dealership specific mobile service programs directly to customersCoordinates with Service Manager or Location Manager to establish and implement effective processes for all Turf services offered through dealership specific service programsReviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents on work orderEstablishes and implements effective stocking processes with the Parts department to maintain the proper seasonal parts inventory in the vehicleParticipates in Service EDUCATE Training programs required for the development of skills and knowledgeMaintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive productsMaintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools, and equipmentFollows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignmentsCompletes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignmentsAccounts for all time and material used in performing assigned dutiesMay support and promote the Ready To Mow programResponsible for other duties as assigned by your managerRequirements :
Experience, Education, Skills, and Knowledge :
1+ years of experience performing service repairsOutstanding interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual proceduresProficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf equipmentProficient knowledge of selling techniquesAbility to use Service Advisor, Microsoft Office applications, and basic computer functionsAbility to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposesAbility to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedlyBasic Service Technician certification preferredApplicants are required to provide their own tools for the jobHigh School Diploma or equivalent experience required; Associates degree preferredValid driver’s license required; CDL (Commercial Drivers License), forklift license preferredLandPro Equipment is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
