About the Position:
Seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer/Designer to support Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection (MPFP) design on medium to large-scale projects. Under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, this role contributes to educational, commercial, multi-residential, and hospitality projects, including new construction and renovations. The ideal candidate can manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality design packages.

Responsibilities:

• Develop HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection drawings

• Assist with specifications, feasibility studies, and site analyses

• Perform gas utility load calculations and heat load calculations

• Support high-rise pressurization plans and BMS/HVAC control systems

• Assist during construction phase (submittals, RFIs, site visits)

• Support energy modeling efforts

• Travel as needed for projects

Qualifications:

• BS in Mechanical Engineering preferred

• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection design

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM 360, Bluebeam, EnergyPro, MS Office

• Familiarity with IMC, IPC, IECC, CA Title 24

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
