KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Leadership & Strategy

  • Develop and implement hardware lifecycle management policies, including procurement, upgrades, and decommissioning
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to align hardware strategy with business goals
  • Establish and monitor KPIs for system uptime, hardware performance, and support response times

Hardware & Infrastructure Management

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, storage devices, network equipment, and end-user hardware
  • Manage data center operations, including power, cooling, and physical security
  • Ensure proper asset tracking, inventory management, and vendor relationship management for hardware procurement
  • Coordinate hardware upgrades, replacements, and preventive maintenance schedules

    • Security & Compliance

  • Implement and maintain physical and logical security controls to protect hardware infrastructure
  • Ensure compliance with relevant data security, privacy, and industry regulations
  • Partner with cybersecurity teams to safeguard hardware systems against threats

    • Support & Operations

  • Provide escalation support for complex hardware-related issues.
  • Oversee deployment and maintenance of desktop / laptop systems, printers, and mobile devices
  • Establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for troubleshooting and repairs
  • Ensure business continuity through backup hardware strategies and disaster recovery readiness

    • Budget & Vendor Management

  • Develop and manage the hardware budget, including capital expenditures and maintenance contracts
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers to ensure cost-effective solutions
  • Evaluate and recommend new hardware technologies to improve efficiency and reliability
