Position Summary
The Tax Analyst assists and supports team members in performing assessment reviews for DMA clients, to achieve maximum tax savings as well as providing other state and local tax consulting services and general administrative support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Collect and organize client dataResearch and enter data into Property Tax database and Excel spreadsheetsCommunicate with assessors and tax collectors regarding assessment notices, valuations, tax bills, refunds, and appeal deadlinesCalculate and process reductions obtained and perform follow-up billingTrack down refunds and / or tax bills for billing supportPrepare and revise spreadsheets for clients and / or team members utilizing ExcelAssist in generating client reportsPrepare general correspondence to clients as well as interoffice communicationsUpdate and maintain organized client filesConduct basic tax research under supervisionPrepare expense reports and coordinate travel arrangementsNon-Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs other administrative duties including, but not limited to ordering supplies, researching vendors, answering incoming calls, greeting visitors, scheduling meetings, and preparing documents.Perform other duties as assigned.Education and Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree desired. High school diploma or equivalent required2-5 years' professional work experience; preferably in an administrative support roleAbility to work independently to complete assignments with minimal direct supervisionRequires a high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential informationIntermediate skills in Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multi-task and prioritize#LI-JS1
