Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger management.
Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and high performance.
Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and ensure strong internal controls are in place.
Act as the primary point of contact for annual external audits, coordinating documentation and fieldwork.
Identify and drive process improvements and system enhancements, including automation initiatives.
Oversee preparation and filing of company tax returns, ensuring adherence to all applicable tax laws.
Partner closely with executive leadership, providing insights, analysis, and recommendations that support business strategy and growth.

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
Active CPA required; CMA a plus.
10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
Proven experience leading financial reporting, audits, and tax compliance.
Strong technical proficiency with ERP / accounting systems and advanced Excel; experience with automation and system implementations preferred.
Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and build high-performing teams.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills; able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
Experience improving processes, implementing systems, and scaling accounting functions highly preferred.
