Construction Inspector

D'Leon Consulting Engineers is seeking a Construction Inspector in Los Angeles, CA

Work Hours : 6 : 00AM- 2 : 30PM

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of major reinforced concrete structures including pile foundations, roadways, and bridges across multiple jurisdictions.
• Conduct inspections for the installation of sanitary sewer systems and storm drains, including related structures, in accordance with City and County of Los Angeles Standards.
• Perform inspections for the installation of street lighting and traffic signal systems, following the specifications set by the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Street Lighting and the Los Angeles Department of Transportation.
• Apply extensive knowledge of City of Los Angeles Standard Plans / Specifications and the Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction (Greenbook).
• Apply extensive knowledge of Cal-Trans construction Standard Plans and Specifications.
• Ensure compliance with multi-phased, site-specific traffic control plans, with a strong emphasis on pedestrian safety and routing.
• Apply knowledge of and enforce Cal-OSHA, Contractor's and safety requirements.
• Prepare comprehensive daily inspection reports that clearly and concisely documents observed construction activities and identifies issues, deficiencies, and safety concerns in a timely manner.
• Assist in reviewing and approving Contractor's monthly progress payment request based on work completed and approved schedule of values.
• Collaborate professionally within a large team of Inspectors.
