Audio Visual Technician

We're seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Audio Visual (AV) Support Technician to join our team in Farmers Branch, Texas . This role is critical for ensuring the flawless operation of all audio and video conferencing systems, meeting rooms, and collaboration spaces. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent customer service abilities, and a proactive approach to maintaining high-quality AV experiences for all users.

duration : 6 Month Contract to Hire

Pay : $30-35 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Setup and Support :
• Provide prompt, on-site, and remote technical support for all AV and collaboration technologies, including video conferencing (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams), projectors, displays, control systems (e.g., Crestron, Extron), and audio equipment.
• Manage the setup and breakdown of AV equipment for meetings, events, and presentations.
• Conduct pre-meeting room checks to ensure all equipment is fully operational and ready for use.
• Maintenance and Troubleshooting :
• Perform routine preventative maintenance and calibration of AV equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues with AV hardware and software, minimizing downtime.
• Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or vendors and track resolutions to completion.
• Client Interaction and Training :
• Serve as the primary point of contact for users requiring AV assistance, providing a professional and helpful customer service experience.
• Train end-users on how to properly use AV and video conferencing systems.
• Document all support activities, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a ticketing system.
• Inventory and Upgrades :
• Assist with inventory management of AV assets, ensuring adequate stock of spares and accessories.
• Support the installation, testing, and deployment of new AV systems and technology upgrades.
