Job Title : Litigation Legal Secretary

Location : Irvine, CA

Employment Type : Full-Time

Salary Range : $85,000 - $95,000 annually

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to litigation attorneys.
  • Prepare, edit, and format legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • File documents with federal and state courts, including electronic filings (e-filing) and payment of applicable fees.
  • Maintain attorney calendars, including court dates, deadlines, depositions, hearings, and client meetings.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements, conference calls, and meeting logistics.
  • Manage case files, ensuring proper organization and compliance with firm and court requirements.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, and opposing counsel.
  • Assist with billing processes, expense reports, and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism.
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, witness lists, and other materials.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a legal secretary in a litigation practice.
  • Strong knowledge of litigation procedures and court rules.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
  • Experience with electronic court filing systems (state and federal).
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
