About the Role
The Service Lead helps guide the front of house team, keeps service running smoothly, and ensures guests feel welcomed and cared for. You will support baristas, line servers, and cashiers throughout the day and act as the point of coordination between front of house and kitchen operations. This is a hands-on leadership role that also participates in daily service tasks, including opening and closing duties.
You Will
Service Flow and Leadership
Lead and support FOH staff during busy periods.
Communicate clearly and keep service running smoothly.
Coordinate ticket flow between the kitchen and bar.
Step into barista, cashier, or line server duties when needed.
Assist with onboarding and training new FOH team members.
Provide friendly, warm, and professional customer service.
Help resolve guest concerns calmly and professionally.
Maintain an organized and welcoming service environment.
Opening Duties
Oversee FOH setup and readiness for the day.
Ensure all stations are stocked and prepped.
Assist bar and kitchen with opening setup tasks.
Closing Duties
Act as the lead closer on scheduled days.
Ensure FOH stations are cleaned and restocked.
Verify completion of closing checklists.
Support baristas and line servers through end of day tasks.
General
Maintain FOH communication and organization throughout the shift.
Complete all daily, weekly, and as needed cleaning duties.
You Are
Comfortable taking the lead and supporting a team.
Friendly, patient, and confident in guest interactions.
Organized, responsible, and calm under pressure.
A strong communicator with a positive attitude.
You Have
Minimum 2 years of cafe or restaurant experience.
Experience working in multiple FOH roles is helpful.
Weekend and holiday availability.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to bend, reach, and move comfortably in a busy cafe setting.
