Job Description & Requirements Specialty : Radiation Therapist Discipline : Allied Health Professional Start Date : 01 / 01 / 2026 Duration : 12 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, days Employment Type : Travel Opportunity : Radiation Therapist Job Details : Administer safe and accurate radiation therapy treatment to patients Operate and manipulate complex radiation-emitting treatment units with precise manual dexterity Prepare treatment rooms and equipment for patient procedures Monitor patients for unusual reactions throughout radiation therapy course Maintain accurate treatment records, simulation data, and machine quality assurance documentation Perform daily and weekly quality assurance for CT simulator and LapLaser systems Complete clinical on-call new starts including necessary calculations Deliver radiation using various techniques including free breathing multi-isocenter setups and Active Breathing Coordinator system Simulate multiple treatment sites including CNS, Head and Neck, Lung, GI, GU, GYN, and Extremity procedures Produce custom bolus devices and immobilization equipment as prescribed Complete 6-month rotation in CT Simulation department Participate in clinical instruction and student evaluation processes Must be graduate of JRCERT-accredited radiation therapy program Certified and registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy required Must obtain New Mexico Environment Department Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Program certification within 30 days of hire Associates degree required Adhere to departmental dress code, attendance policies, and time management procedures Facility : This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive radiation oncology department equipped with advanced radiation therapy technology and CT simulation capabilities.
