We are looking for an experienced Controller to join our client in Seattle, Washington. In this contract position, you will play a key role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and driving strategic decision-making through data-driven insights. This role requires a proactive leader skilled in accounting, financial planning, and team management within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities :

• Serve as the primary financial leader, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of all financial reporting and accounting practices.
• Develop and implement comprehensive financial policies, internal controls, and accounting systems to support organizational efficiency.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes to align with company objectives.
• Collaborate with leadership to evaluate company performance, profitability, and operational efficiency.
• Provide detailed financial modeling and analysis to inform strategic decisions, investments, and contract negotiations.
• Identify and communicate financial risks, trends, and opportunities to the management team.
• Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and job costing.
• Oversee the monthly and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
• Prepare and distribute financial statements and performance dashboards for management review.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with external auditors and financial institutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• At least 10 years of progressive experience in accounting or financial management within manufacturing, construction, or project-based industries.
• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks and advanced knowledge of Excel.
• Exceptional analytical and organizational skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a high-performing team.
• Familiarity with job cost accounting and contract financial management preferred.
