Job Description

Position Summary

Perform various shipping and receiving functions : load and unload trucks, check and sort product of varying sizes and weights by hand , including lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying. Physical agility and stamina to stand, walk, bend and lift (up to 60 pounds). The schedule will be Monday-Friday from 6 : 00 AM to 2 : 45 PM, but subject to change based on business needs ( overtime, training, etc..).

Responsibilities

• Set-up and unload incoming shipments from trucks, check in mill receipts.
• Segregate and sort receipts by style and color.
• Breakdown and repack boxes.
• Scan shipping labels and check weights.
• Assist in preparing truck orders for shipment; shrink wrap pallets as needed.
• Perform housekeeping duties.
• Load UPS trailers with customer orders that have been packaged and forwarded to the truck via conveyor, conforming to standards and maximizing space.
• Follow safety policies and regulations when moving freight or handling equipment.
• Serve as a member of the Distribution Center team, helping with other tasks as needed.
