Job Description
Join a patient-focused healthcare practice as our Medical Receptionist . You'll be the first point of contact-welcoming patients, managing check-in / out, scheduling, and insurance verification-while protecting PHI and keeping the front office running smoothly.
What You'll Do
- Greet patients warmly; check in / out and confirm demographics
- Verify and enter insurance accurately; collect copays / self-pay & post receipts
- Answer phones / voicemails promptly; provide basic info and route messages
- Schedule / reschedule new and established patients (in person & by phone)
- Monitor patient flow; communicate delays with patients and clinical staff
- Maintain tidy, organized front office; complete general admin tasks
- Uphold privacy standards and HIPAA compliance at all times
Required Qualifications
MediClear or equivalent HIPAA credential (required)1+ year experience in a medical office / front desk role preferredProficient with computers / EMR; fast, accurate data entryClear, professional verbal and written communication; strong customer serviceHigh attention to detail; able to multitask in a fast-paced settingAble to handle confidential / sensitive information with discretionPreferred
