The Waldinger Corporation, a growing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and Sheet Metal industry leader, is looking for a dependable and detailed QA/QC Specialist for our team! The QA/QC Specialist in the Mechanical VDC group is responsible for ensuring the quality and accuracy of virtual design and construction projects. This role involves developing and implementing quality assurance and quality control processes, conducting inspections, and collaborating with project teams to maintain high standards of work. A key focus will be on reviewing constructability, ensuring adherence to contract documents, marking up inconsistencies in the drawings, and communicating these issues to the VDC and operations groups.
Responsibilities:
· Conduct regular inspections and audits of VDC models and drawings to ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and contract documents.
· Review constructability of VDC models and drawings, identifying potential issues and providing solutions.
· Mark up inconsistencies found in the drawings and communicate them to the project team for resolution.
· Communicate identified issues to the VDC and operations groups to ensure timely resolution and adherence to project timelines.
· Ensure all VDC models and drawings adhere to contract documents before release for construction.
· Follows policy and maintains a work environment free of discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and coercion.
· Other duties as assigned.
