Schedule Details :

Nights.

8 and 12-hour shifts.

Every third weekend rotation and holiday rotation.

Sign-On Bonus : $15,000 for 3rd Shift

Unit Overview :

Join our 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit , where you'll care for a diverse patient population, including :

Post-operative care for craniotomies, AVMs, and tumor resections.

Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.

Patients recovering from hemorrhagic and ischemic strokes as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program .

High volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, as well as medical overflow cases.

As part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII) , you'll be exposed to the latest neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge care.

What You'll Do :

Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based patient care utilizing the nursing process.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, therapeutic, and compassionate care.

Apply clinical judgment and critical thinking to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Contribute to a positive patient experience across the care continuum.

Major Responsibilities :

Use the nursing process to assess patient needs, implement interventions, and evaluate care effectiveness.

Licensure and Certification :

Registered Nurse license issued by the relevant state.

Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.

Education Required :

Completion of an accredited Nursing program.

Experience Required :

Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions :

Ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, and twist frequently.

Can lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist and 20 lbs. overhead.

Capability to carry up to 40 lbs. and push / pull with 30 lbs. of force.

May be exposed to chemicals, hazardous waste, and blood / body fluids.

Must have functional speech, vision, hearing, and touch for essential nursing tasks.
