Central Sterile Technician – Contract

Bronxville, NY 10708

Assignment : 12 / 29 / 2025 – 01 / 31 / 2026

Pay Rate :

Shift : 7 : 00 AM – 3 : 00 PM / 3 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM / 11 : 00 pm - 7 : 00 am (30-min break)

Department : Perioperative Services

About the Role

Pride Health is urgently hiring a Central Sterile Technician for a short-term assignment supporting an essential Sterile Processing project. This role requires an experienced and certified professional who can step into a fast-paced environment and ensure the highest level of safety and sterilization standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
  • Ensure proper packaging, labeling, and distribution of sterile supplies.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and Joint Commission standards (JC L1321 requirement).
  • Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles and equipment usage.
  • Communicate effectively with perioperative teams to support daily surgical operations.
  • Follow all departmental safety procedures and workflow guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required).
  • Previous Sterile Processing / CSPD experience (required).
  • National CS / SPD Certification (required).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to start 12 / 29 — no exceptions (no RTO).
  • Must pass compliance clearance prior to start — failure to clear = immediate cancellation.
