American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab Technologist with at least 1 year of recent diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experience and active IL license.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute care hospital Level I trauma center cardiac cath lab13-week assignment with choice of day shift schedules : 3x12s, 5x8s, 4x10s, or 4x12sPatient population is adult and geriatricProcedures include diagnostic catheterizations, cardiac stent placement, PCI, PTCA, IABP placement / removal, cardiac implant closure devices, rotablader athrectomy, and moreNo interventional radiology cases performedCerner EMR experience requiredOn-call required as needed, rotating with staff and agency; call frequency discussed with the managerExpectation to work 2-3 weekends per contractScrubs are provided and parking is free with a permit supplied during orientationResponsibilities include performing diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures, equipment setup, and monitoring for arrhythmiasOrientation includes parking permit process and completion of required modules (virtual on first day)First-time travelers are welcome to applyMust be able to work a flexible schedule, including 2 out of 3 major holidaysNo floating outside of the cath lab unitNo radius restriction; local applicants acceptedTime off requests ideally not to exceed 5 daysFormer permanent or PRN employees must have a 12 month gap before returning as travelers\n \n Requirements\n
Minimum 1 year of recent diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab experienceActive IL license required at time of application; license required if applicableCurrent ACLS, BLS, ARRT, and RCIS certifications are requiredProficiency in equipment setup, sterile technique, infection control, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmiasExperience with Cerner EMR is requiredMust have competencies with middle and older adult patient populationsMust demonstrate skills in cardiac catheterizations, stent placements, PCI, IABP, and related procedures\n Benefits\n
