Summary
The Operations Supervisor (1st Shift) position at Port Hueneme, CA, is responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing all production-related activities associated with the site in order to ensure continuous production. This position will oversee production staff and instruct workers to use equipment or perform technical procedures.

Meet production goals
Resolves unusual or nonscheduled customer requests, and respond with creative ideas to overcome challenges with workflowUnderstands, implements, and maintains safe work practicesSupervise full-time and temporary employees, oversee and instruct on proper vehicle processing proceduresHiring employees, scheduling work, and overseeing performance management initiativesEnsure employees are accurately clocking in and outOptimize work schedules to match staffing levels, create work assignments and monitor progress to improve work process efficiencyCoordinates with other departments and customers to meet production goalsConduct employee observations to ensure safety and productivity procedures are being followed; documents and discuss results with employeesConfer with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departmentsProduction ReportingProvide periodic updates of vehicle processing tender goals in order to meet customer deadlines
Performs administrative activities, including reviewing and providing status reports to next level managementRead and analyze charts, work orders, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements and to evaluate current production estimates and outputsResponds effectively and courteously to customer service inquiries, requests or complaintsInvestigates accidents, injuries or property damage claims on behalf of managementSpecial projects as assigned and cover other areas of production as neededSafety & ComplianceResponds to unsafe conditions or hazardous waste
Recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materialsInspect or evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices to ensure compliance with safety standards and government regulationsEnforce safety and sanitation regulationsOther Duties as AssignedCompensation Range
$65,000-$84,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
