IT Support & Asset Specialist

Plexos Group LLC is currently seeking an experienced IT Support Tech & Asset Specialist for our Baton Rouge office.

This position will provide the organization with information technology support to optimize operational efficiencies as well as manage assets.

Responsibilities :

• Resolve IT support requests from employees via a ticketing system.
• Ability to solve level 1 & 2 IT technical issues.
• Answering employee questions regarding computer systems
• Gather and analyze data to diagnose problems with computer systems.
• Change configurations, settings, and permissions to fix computer issues.
• Install and configure hardware and software components.
• Image / configure laptops for distribution to employees.
• Repair and replace damaged computer hardware.
• Establish good relationships with all clients and colleagues.
• Manage technical documentation.
• Keep accurate and detailed descriptions of services performed while on a service call.
• Assist with installation of relevant cabling as well as various network or security systems.
• Display good interpersonal skills while interacting with clients from various departments and executive levels.
• Ability to understand technical problems and implement solutions.
• Receive IT equipment delivered to Information Services, including logging received equipment, verify their contents, ensure they match purchase order, storing it securely, conducting periodic inventories and logging distribution.
• Track asset utilization and ensure assets not in use are recovered, inventoried, relocated, or disposed of in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage the movement of equipment between locations including generating shipping labels and researching shipments as needed.
• Conduct inventory and provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly asset reports.
