Acara Solutions is seeking a hands-on General Manager / Business Development leader for a trucking and transportation business. This role is responsible for managing daily operations, financial performance, and strategic growth initiatives. The ideal candidate will oversee fleet operations, ensure DOT and MSHA compliance, drive new business, and lead all operational functions to maximize efficiency and profitability.
Compensation :
- Base Salary : $130K–$140K (DOE)
- Performance Bonuses : Quarterly operating bonuses tied to financial targets
- Fleet Growth Incentive : $2,500 for every 10% increase in profitable fleet units beyond 40
- New Business Incentive : 1% of gross revenue from new accounts
Key Responsibilities :
Lead and manage all operational functions, ensuring safety, compliance, and efficiency in trucking operationsDevelop and execute business growth strategies, identifying and securing new client opportunitiesOversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance to achieve profitability goalsSupervise, train, and evaluate staff to maintain high performance standardsEnsure compliance with DOT and MSHA regulations and company policiesBuild and maintain strong client, vendor, and partner relationshipsPrepare and present performance reports to ownership and stakeholdersRequired Skills / Qualifications :
Minimum 5 years of experience in trucking, transportation, logistics, or general managementProven track record in fleet operations, driver management, and transportation logisticsStrong leadership and operational oversight skills, including managing profitable fleets and driving business growthPreferred Skills / Qualifications :
Strong leadership, organizational, and financial management skillsExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesProven ability to grow revenue and improve operational efficiency
