Description
At Sushi Masa, we're looking for a skilled and creative Head Barista / Mixologist to join our team. This is a full-time, salaried position with a starting pay of $55,000 per year. We pride ourselves on crafting handmade nigiri, sashimi, and a wide variety of delicious dishes. To maintain our high standards, we need a dedicated individual to manage our bar operations, innovate our drink menu, and lead our bar staff.
This is a unique opportunity to be a leader at our first location in the DFW area. You will be a crucial part of our operational team, collaborating with managers and servers to ensure seamless service. Your role focuses on both the art of crafting exceptional drinks and the science of running an efficient bar.
What You’ll Do:
- Innovate and Create: Develop new drink menus and propose promotions that align with our brand and local tastes.
- Lead and Train: Train and manage bartenders and servers on new bar menus, drink preparation, and company standards.
- Manage Operations: Oversee all bar operations, from opening to closing, including inventory control, quality checks, and maintaining a clean, organized, and hygienic bar area.
- Collaborate with the Team: Work alongside our operational team to ensure smooth service and a flawless experience for our guests.
- Support the Business: Assist managers and other team members throughout the shift and complete any additional tasks assigned by supervisors.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Extensive knowledge of bar menus and drink recipes is essential. You should have the ability to create new drinks without relying on recipes.
- Leadership: The ability to lead, train, and manage bar staff effectively.
- Creativity: A creative and innovative approach to drink creation and menu development.
- Efficiency: Strong organizational and inventory management skills, with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
