QA Automation Engineer (UFT, API, Xray, WCAG, SQL – Texas HHS)

Job Title : QA Automation Engineer (UFT API Xray WCAG SQL Texas HHS)

Location : Austin TX (Hybrid -Local Candidates only)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualification

Mandatory Qualifications

• Experience writing and executing test cases and creating test plans.
• Strong knowledge of software usability concepts requirements traceability and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Hands-on experience with Xray Test Case Management and Jira .
• Experience working in a scrum / agile environment collaborating with teams to deliver software release sprints using Jira and SharePoint.
• Proficiency in defect tracking and management using industry-standard tools including Jira.
• Ability to log categorize and prioritize defects effectively.
• Strong SQL skills including Create Read Update and Delete operations.
• Experience with API testing using Postman or similar tools.
• Ability to develop and execute automated test cases especially around authentication user permissions and role-based access.
• Experience performing various testing types : unit integration regression smoke UAT system stress and performance testing.
• Knowledge of code coverage tools systems analysis and design concepts.
• Hands-on experience with UFT for automation testing and scripting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting complex technical information.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a sprint development team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Self-driven and proactive in helping the team achieve goals and delivery milestones.
• Strong interpersonal skills for engaging with staff and end users.
• Ability to respond to inquiries troubleshoot issues and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to accurately track and report time spent on tasks and estimate future enhancements.
