Kennel Attendant

Do you like being around animals? Tail Country Pet Resort in Dallastown, PA is seeking a full-time OR part-time Kennel Attendant to help care for our customers' furry friends. Are you a caring person who loves dogs? Then this may be the perfect job for you!

This full- or part-time position makes a starting wage of $12 - $14 per hour . ABOUT TAIL COUNTRY PET RESORT

Our founders Barara and Chad Noll, dog lovers and animal behavior experts, founded Tail Country Pet Resort in 2018 with the goal of providing top-quality care for our customers' beloved dogs. We are located on a beautiful 54-acre farm in the lush countryside of southern York County. Our services include boarding, daycare, training, and grooming.

We could not provide such exceptional animal care without our dedicated staff. Our team receives tons of training and support , including dog body language, CPR, and first aid, not to mention ample opportunities for continued education . A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A KENNEL ATTENDANT

In this job, your number one priority is the health and safety of each dog in our care. You are vital to our daily operations as you complete a variety of tasks that keep our pet resort functional. Each day, you work to keep our boarding rooms clean and safe for our guests. You will clean and sanitize the daycare rooms, boarding rooms, zen den, and all other areas of the facility. You handle laundry, wash dishes, and ensure that all equipment and tools are properly cleaned.

Throughout your shifts, you maintain an open line of communication with our team members, including reporting any safety issues or equipment malfunctions. Additionally, following our strict safety protocol, you take the dogs on walks. You feel great knowing that your work improves our ability to properly care for each animal!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A KENNEL ATTENDANT

• Ability to handle dogs of all sizes, ages, breeds, and temperaments
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions
• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
• Valid driver's license

WORK SCHEDULE FOR A KENNEL ATTENDANT

Our full-time employees work 35 - 40 hours per week and our part-time employees work 24 - 32 hours per week . Shifts are staggered between the hours of 6 : 30 AM - 8 : 00 PM . Our full-time employees are allotted 1 hour for lunch .
