General Statement of Duties
This is a one-year only School Psychologist Intern position for the 2025-26 school year (12-month contract, expected start date of July 1, 2025; contract start date is related to 12-month work calendar).
Provides psycho-educational support for students in need and instructional strategies as appropriate in order to facilitate the academic progress of all students within Henrico County Public Schools. Responds as appropriate to the needs of special education students as required by federal and state regulations.
Essential Duties
Job duties include the ability to administer and interpret psychological tests, work collaboratively with multidisciplinary school-based teams, consult with teachers, and counsel with students while under the supervision of a School Psychologist. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential to meet the diverse needs of our community. Strong interpersonal and time-management skills are also required, as well as utilization of appropriate resources. Minimum Qualifications
Prior to internship, completion of all coursework and practicum while enrolled in a Master's/Specialist or Doctoral degree program in School Psychology is expected.
Additional Information
The minimum salary for this 12-month, 260-day position is $36,437. The salary is based upon the 2024-25 budget and is subject to change with the approval of the 2025-26 financial plan. The annual salary will be prorated based upon work begin date.
