I'm partnered with the VP of Finance of a multi-billion-dollar publicly traded parent company. My client has a very strong grasp in their space and acquires highly profitable businesses to bring under their umbrella. One of their long standing business units located in Bartlett, IL is looking for their new finance leader to report into their Group VP of Finance and lead all aspects of Accounting & Finance.

Job Description

Business Unit Controller position, responsibilities will include :

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable / receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards.
• Lead annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial forecasts.
• Partner with business unit leadership to analyze variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions and growth initiatives.
• Collaborate with senior management on cost optimization and profitability improvement strategies.
• Manage external audit process and coordinate with auditors to ensure successful completion.
• Oversee tax compliance and liaise with tax advisors for accurate filings.
• Drive automation and efficiency in financial processes and reporting systems.
• Evaluate and implement ERP enhancements or new technologies as needed.
