About the Role

The Company is in search of an Associate Head for Advancement, a pivotal role that demands a strategic and relational leader to oversee the unification of external-facing functions, including philanthropy, communications, marketing, and enrollment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a dynamic, mission-aligned team and will serve as the President's senior advisor on all matters of institutional advancement. This includes the development and implementation of a comprehensive, data-informed strategic plan that aligns with the school's vision. The role also involves fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and trust, and engaging with the community to extend the school's mission through strategic partnerships.

Applicants for the Associate Head of Advancement position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) and a minimum of 10 years' experience in advancement, with a proven track record in fundraising and leading successful capital campaigns. The role requires a leader with outstanding relationship-building skills, a commitment to the school's mission and values, and the ability to work with a diverse community. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, a strategic thinker, and a passionate advocate for education and student success. Experience in an independent school or private college environment is preferred, as is a background in working with advancement database systems and analytics. The Associate Head will also be responsible for team development, ensuring the team is empowered, and promoting professional growth across all departments.
