Essential Job Functions

Start up and shut down heat treat equipment (includes initial setting and adjusting of all controls and gauges)

Operate the Cress Electric Furnace to bronze T-Studs

Operate the tumbler to de-burr suspect material

Maintain accurate inventory production records and SPC data in electronic records including JDE.

Move work to charge end of furnaces

Load and unload work from furnaces

Check and adjust all controls and gauges

Inspection of completed parts (Rockwell) which includes keeping of records

Clean and maintain necessary gauges

Work in other departments on as needed basis as directed by supervisor

Operates PIV as needed to move part bins load machines

Maintain housekeeping standards

Must be able to work overtime

Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Essential Skills & Experience

High School Diploma or GED preferred

Competencies (5-10 Critical Areas of Understanding / Practice for the role)

Mathematical ability (add subtract multiply and divide) perform the four operations with common and decimal fractions

Basic computer skills

Ability to read and write understand written verbal or diagrammatic instruction

Ability to analyze data and recognize trends

Knowledge of control systems of industrial furnaces

Knowledge of heat treat process

Record keeping and organization

Ability to communicate effectively with customers and auditors regarding process control.

Physical Demands
