ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Welder uses engineering drawings to position and hold fabricated parts on weld table or stand using clamps or by loading them into weld fixtures and uses standard MIG welding machinery to weld parts together per engineering specifications. Removes excess weld build-up, weld splatter, rough edges, and scale.

Welder stacks parts safely in material handling carts and stages completed parts in proper areas.

Must be able to operate wire fed floor standing welding machines, load weld wire, change weld tips and maintain MIG welding machines. The MIG welding machines uses at IAC utilizes CO2 gas that is automatically fed during the welding operation. Welder must be able to replace the CO2 bottles as needed.

Keeps work area clean and organized, cleans machines, tools and equipment. Performs other routine duties such as completing required written daily logs.
