Bridge Quest Academy is a private, project-based microschool serving both neurotypical and neurodivergent learners. We are seeking a Learning Coach Assistant who is passionate about working with children, supporting student independence, and contributing to a creative, collaborative learning environment.
This role supports the classroom Learning Coach while also leading elective courses and enrichment programming. Learning Coach Assistants do not develop core curriculum but play a critical role in implementing instruction, guiding students through online coursework, and fostering engagement, confidence, and curiosity.
What You’ll Do :
- Support the Learning Coach with daily instruction, classroom routines, and project-based learning.
- Assist students with online, Common Core-aligned learning platforms such as IXL.
- Provide small-group and one-on-one academic support under the direction of the Learning Coach.
- Monitor student engagement and progress and contribute input for progress reports.
- Lead elective class periods approximately three days per week, with electives rotating every six weeks.
- Design and facilitate engaging elective experiences based on student interests, such as art, building projects, language exploration, or creative enrichment.
- Help plan and lead Quest Camps during school breaks.
- Support student organization, time management, and self-advocacy skills.
- Take daily attendance and assist with basic administrative and front office needs.
- Communicate with families through Brightwheel in alignment with school guidelines.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree.Experience working with children in an educational, tutoring, or support role.Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.Comfort using technology and online learning platforms.Passion for supporting diverse learners in a structured but flexible environment.Ability to plan engaging enrichment activities and lead small groups.Clear DOJ / FBI background check.Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.Required immunizations including MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis), Varicella (Chicken Pox), Hep B, and TB clearance (within 4 years).Schedule & Environment :
Full-time, salaried exempt position - Typical schedule in 8 : 30am-4 : 00pm with some variation as needed for school events.Classroom and small group learning environments.Active supervision of students indoors and outdoors.Physical activity may include standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and supporting students during moments of dysregulation.Benefits :
