Information Technology Project Manager (Columbia)

Join a challenging, fast-paced, and collaborative environment working on one of the largest Information Technology projects for a major government healthcare system. This critical role is centered on leading project efforts related to the replacement of a current legacy Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).

We are seeking a highly motivated, self-starter Project Manager to be an integral part of a Best Practice Project Management Team. This is an individual contributor position reporting to the IT Services Deputy Director.

Key Responsibilities (Daily Duties)

• Manage and coordinate all tasks associated with one or more small-to-large projects, or a major component of a larger project.
• Direct the initiation, planning, execution, control, and closeout phases of the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation throughout the entire project lifecycle.
• Follow established Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Develop and manage work plan(s) and maintain project roadmap(s).
• Control scope and schedule to ensure project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks are completed as planned and on time.
• Identify potential problems and facilitate problem resolution by recommending and implementing a risk mitigation strategy.
• Work within the structure of Change Management and Release Management to coordinate implementations to the Medicaid System.
• Prepare status reports and provide updates to project stakeholders, sponsors, and champions.
• Oversee the development and execution of the communication plan.
