As a Youth Permanency Specialist youll work directly with youth and families to help them understand their permanency needs process their history and strengthen the relationships that support longterm connection.
This position is primarily remote with regular travel throughout Lane County Oregon to meet with youth caregivers and community partners. Must reside in the local area.

What Youll Do
Review case plans evaluations and background materials to understand each youths needsCollaborate with ODHS staff caregivers CASA volunteers and community partnersProvide direct services using models such as :357 Model and Life Story Work
Traumainformed parenting strategies (including Collaborative Problem Solving)Engagement with natural supports and family membersSupport youth in exploring their permanency goals processing losses and rebuilding connectionsFacilitate clarification work visits and relationship transitionsSupport resource families in preparing youth for reunification adoption guardianship or longterm foster careMaintain timely case notes reports and documentationParticipate in team meetings professional development and agency trainings (including some inperson meetings at Portland headquarters)What Were Looking For
Bachelors degree 2 years of experience in social work counseling psychology or a related fieldOR equivalent education and experience
Familiarity with the ODHS Child Welfare system child development and traumainformed careExperience supporting youth with behavioral developmental and socialemotional needsStrong communication skills-verbal written and interpersonalAbility to manage multiple priorities with professionalism and empathyAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficiency with Microsoft Office and case management systems (including ETO)Reliable transportation and ability to travel regularly within Lane CountyValid drivers license auto insurance and acceptable driving recordAbility to provide official or unofficial transcriptsPreferred :
