Accounting Clerk

Description We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team in Detroit, Michigan. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a key role in managing financial records, processing invoices, and ensuring accuracy in data entry. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organizational skills and a passion for numbers.

Responsibilities :

• Accurately input financial data into accounting systems to maintain up-to-date records.
• Process invoices in a timely manner while ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Reconcile discrepancies in financial documents and resolve errors as needed.
• Assist in preparing reports related to accounts payable and receivable.
• Maintain organized and secure filing systems for financial documents.
• Communicate with vendors and team members to address invoice-related queries.
• Support the accounting team with administrative tasks as required.
• Follow established procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all accounting processes. Requirements - Proficiency in data entry with a high level of accuracy.
• Previous experience in invoice processing or a similar accounting role.
• Familiarity with basic accounting principles and practices.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and external parties.
• Competency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• A keen eye for detail to identify and correct errors.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting is a plus.
