General Description : This position is responsible for providing safety and risk management consultation services. This position will be responsible to help grow CSSI’s safety products and services through sales of retainer-based services, and value-added training and educational opportunities. The ideal candidate will need a consultant mindset with a strong ability and willingness to work independently. In addition, the successful consultant will have the confidence to identify shortcomings and needs that may be troublesome to the client, the communicative style to share such information in a supportive manner, and the ability to offer solutions that are actionable and reasonably achievable. The consultant must also be willing to call out and act on imminent hazards in the moment to protect themselves and others exposed. The ideal candidate will be one who excels by influencing culture through positive reinforcement. A successful candidate will need to support CSSI’s beyond compliance philosophy.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for conducting safety inspections and site visits. Also, must portray CSSI safety services in a professional manner and demonstrate expertise in the field of construction safety.
- Responsible to meet all quality expectations and deadlines related to reporting and client follow-up.
- Coaching through positive reinforcement.
SAFETY SURVEYS
Responsible for onsite safety surveysResponsible with providing professional consultation services during pre-construction and throughout the duration of the projectResponsible for providing a post-job summary on safety goals and results for the projectResponsible for developing and building relationships with CSSI clients and jobsite leadersResponsible for conducting onsite safety surveys and professional consultation. Responsible for providing client with additional safety related training and education where deficiencies exist and / or persist.EDUCATION AND TRAINING
Responsible for the creation and development of safety and risk management curriculums and the presentation of such materials.Responsible in making recommendations on qualified vendor entities.Other Duties

OSHA Outreach trainer Certification : Construction or ability to obtain certification. General Industry certification is added value.Other safety qualifications are preferred but not required : CSP, ASP, GSP, CHST, SHEP, CSHO, SSH.Bachelor’s and / or Associate’s degree preferred but not required.Successful completion of a 10-Hour OSHA course required, while successful completion of a 30-Hour OSHA is recommended.Ideal candidate will have construction experience.Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and prioritiesExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to present to various levels within an organizationAbility to manage conflicting and / or multiple demandsProficient computer skills, particularly the use of all Microsoft suite programs.Outstanding people and organizational skillsAbility to wear a respirator and protective clothing, climb a ladder, and lift / carry up to 40 pounds, occasionallyWillingness to travel occasionally, regional position requires the ability to drive company-provided vehicle.Proficient knowledge of relevant laws, policies, and procedures.Certified CPR / 1st Aid trainerExperience with Behavior Based Safety.
