Position Overview : Financial Analyst

United Bags, Inc. is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our dynamic finance team. In this pivotal role, you will transform data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making at every level of the organization. You'll partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to evaluate financial performance, strengthen business operations, and help guide the company's continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and present financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses that inform strategic and operational decisions

Analyze sales performance, cost trends, and profitability across diverse product lines and customer groups

Support annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting cycles

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying emerging trends, risks, and opportunities

Collaborate with operations, sales, and supply chain teams to create financial models and scenario analyses

Conduct detailed inventory and cost analysis to guide pricing strategies and improve margins

Provide ad hoc financial analysis for special projects and company initiatives

Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure compliance with internal financial policies

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field

2+ years of experience in financial analysis; manufacturing or distribution industry experience is a plus

Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling)

Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems

Solid understanding of financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis

Exceptional attention to detail and comfort working with large data sets

Excellent communication and presentation abilities

Preferred Skills

Experience with ERP / accounting platforms

Knowledge of inventory or cost accounting

Familiarity with GAAP and financial compliance standards
