American Traveler seeks a Speech Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and South Carolina licensure to provide evaluation and treatment for inpatient and outpatient populations.
Responsibilities
Work in a speech therapy unit within a hospital settingCaseload includes hospital inpatients, outpatient adults, and outpatient pediatric patientsFlexible schedule with options for either a four-day (Monday-Thursday) or five-day (Monday-Friday) workweekTypical shift is 8 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pmProvide evidence-based evaluation and treatment for expressive and receptive language disorders, cognitive disorders, speech disorders, dysphagia, fluency, voice, and social communicationDevelop plans of care using measurable short- and long-term goals tailored to individual patient needsCollaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary medical teams for optimal outcomesSupervise specific treatment teams and assist in scheduling adjustmentsMaintain timely and accurate patient records including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summariesParticipate in departmental professional development, mentorship, and performance improvement initiativesAdhere to American Speech-Language-Hearing Association Code of Ethics and SC LLR guidelinesUphold health and safety standards for self and patientsRequirements
Current applicable licensure through South Carolina LLRCertificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHACurrent AHA Basic Life Support (CPR / AED) certificationMinimum of 1 year of experience as a Speech Language PathologistLicense required if applicableBenefits
