High Resort Eye Surgery Center (HRESC) is currently looking to fill the following position :

Position : Nursing Assistant

Job Status : Part -Time (30 hours weekly)

The Nursing Assistant is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care to surgical patients during their stay in the Surgery Center, and prioritizing the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently integrating high standards to promote positive surgical outcomes.

Nursing Assistant Job Duties May Include :

• Work closely with the Pre-Op / PACU staff in planning, facilitating and evaluating surgical care to the patients.
• Provide basic patient care activities under the direction of a licensed nurse.
• Collect data and assist patients with activities before and / or after their surgical procedure and document actions in the patient's chart.
• Collect and record vital signs, monitor patients, provide simple patient teaching and discharge instructions.
• Insure cleanliness of the units, perform clerical duties and transport patients.
